350 + Banking Execs Resign

358 executives have resigned from their positions in the banking industry since 9/2011.  “Some big names on Wall Street are eager to step out of the spotlight after enduring years of financial-crisis turbulence and negative attention from politicians and protesters, said Peter Ressler, the chief executive of RMG Search.” I was initially misinformed that this development took place over the course of days. While I imagine that the volume of high-level resignations probably is greater than in years past, I do not worry that this variation is not explicable by banks restructuring, changing business models, regulatory adaptation and normal variation.
